The company sets new standards in mold remediation with its proven expertise and the trust of strong partners. Its patented technology, the VaPURE system, allows mold remediation providers to effectively eradicate mold at the source swiftly, efficiently, and without the need for expensive demolition.
“Our advanced technology eliminates mold without demolition, changing how the world tackles this invisible threat,” says Brandon Adams, CEO.
The Game-Changing VaPURE System
Pure Maintenance recognized the significant limitations of traditional mold remediation methods, where sledgehammers and axes were smashed into mold-infested walls—a messy, invasive, and expensive approach that barely scratched the surface of the problem. Seeing through these decades-old misconceptions, the company formulated its magnum opus, VaPURE system. This innovative system uses a dry fog of sub-6-micron particles, small enough to penetrate every corner of a building, including areas behind walls and beneath floors where mold can hide, seeking out and destroying mold cells at their root—without demolition or disruption.
Unlike outdated methods like bleach spraying or wall demolition—which fail to address mold spores circulating through HVAC systems, carpets, and even air—VaPURE treats entire indoor environments. In just 4 to 5 hours, it eradicates mold completely, restoring air quality and leaving clients with healthier living spaces. VaPURE’s environmentally responsible, noninvasive approach offers a faster, more sustainable way to tackle mold and provides a long-term solution to this persistent problem.
Clients’ Victories and Vigilant Partners
A project for the Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Campbell, Kentucky exemplifies the impact of Pure Maintenance’s VaPURE System. A mess hall had become so severely overrun with fungus that demolition seemed inevitable. The mold had spread so extensively that the walls appeared covered in wallpaper. Pure Maintenance was brought in as a last resort to save the building, and in just four hours, it reduced mold levels by 99 percent without tearing into a single wall. Follow-up testing over six months confirmed that the treatment provided immediate results and delivered long-term effectiveness. This act of saving the building from demolition shows the company’s ability to even treat adverse cases and deliver solutions where traditional methods fall short.

This same commitment to innovation and effectiveness extends to how Pure Maintenance empowers its partners and licensees. Through its innovative licensing model, the company ensures its solutions reach communities worldwide while providing a robust support system to help partners thrive. This support includes a yearly convention for providers, monthly webinars, and leadership support groups—all designed to ensure partners succeed in applying the technology effectively. Additionally, it also offers a custom platform like the Mold Ninja CRM, which guides partners through inspections and treatments. On top of that, certifications and accreditation are available through a partnership with NORMI, providing advanced training and credentials. It combines innovation with comprehensive partner support to build a trusted network of providers delivering industry-leading mold remediation solutions to clients across the globe.
The Roots of Pure Maintenance
Behind all these innovative technologies and rapid growth are two visionaries who believed in solving real-world problems with empathy and determination. Founded in 2007, Pure Maintenance began with a mission to challenge outdated mold remediation methods. The founder laid the foundation for a better solution, and in 2018, his son took over as CEO, transforming the company from a local service in Utah into a global powerhouse with 180 locations across the U.S. and beyond.
The key to this success? A well-thought-out decision to license the company’s patented technology rather than adopt a traditional franchise model. Licensing allowed Pure Maintenance to expand rapidly, enabling partners to integrate its innovative system into their own operations. This approach made it an affordable, scalable solution that delivers exceptional results for clients worldwide.
A Breath of Fresh Air
Pure Maintenance is moving into the future with a vision sharpened like a diamond—focused, enduring, and ready to shine. While some methods in mold remediation offer trinkets—quick fixes that tackle only the surface—Pure Maintenance provides solutions that stand the test of time, ensuring lasting results. The company’s upcoming changes to its business model and strengthened partnerships, like its collaboration with NORMI, are set to unlock new opportunities for growth and expansion while ensuring that every provider is equipped with the best training and credentials in the industry. Additionally, the company also plans to expand its market reach by tapping into untapped regions, offering an even greater number of businesses and homes the opportunity to benefit from its radical technology. True to its name, Pure Maintenance is committed to clearing the air and restoring spaces to their purest form—ensuring homes and businesses remain safe, clean, and free of the intruder mold’s unseen grip.
Mold Remediation beyond the Containment Zone
Visible mold may be concentrated in one part of a building, but that does not necessarily mean the problem stops there. Damaged material can be removed within a contained area, but spores may already have traveled through HVAC systems or normal air circulation. That possibility changes how remediation needs to be evaluated. In property portfolios, schools, hospitality sites and occupied homes, cleaning one section of wall is only part of the job. What matters is whether the scope of work appropriately addresses the property’s documented conditions while complying with all applicable product-label requirements and how much disruption is involved in getting there.
Post-treatment sampling can make that distinction easy to miss. A favorable result from inside the containment area may not reflect conditions elsewhere in the building. Airborne spores can exist beyond the immediate source, while hidden spaces and areas with recurring moisture may present additional concerns. Visible removal can be appropriate in some situations, but the scope of the work should make clear which areas are being addressed and which remain outside the treatment.
How much work the property has to undergo matters too. Traditional remediation may involve isolating the area, removing materials, rebuilding and keeping people out for an extended period. For an active facility, those steps affect both the cost of the job and the time needed to return the space to normal use. An initially low estimate may look different once reconstruction or additional work is included. Comparing remediation methods, therefore, means looking at the full intervention, not just the treatment price. Reducing demolition is useful only when the method still addresses the environmental burden that prompted the work.
Knowing whether that burden has actually been reduced requires evidence beyond a single favorable reading. Mold counts can differ considerably from one location to another. Independent testing can provide a clearer picture when sampling covers the treated space and the results are documented after the work is complete. The same need for consistency applies when remediation is delivered through a network operating in different markets. Even a sound treatment method can produce uneven results if technician training or chemical-use practices vary between locations.
“The VaPURE process combines a whole-building application with a protective surface treatment. All products are applied only to sites and surfaces authorized by their EPA-registered labeling.”
Training and operating procedures consequently have a direct bearing on what happens at the property. Continuing education helps technicians apply the method consistently, while chemical claims and use practices need to follow applicable label requirements. Standardized procedures become particularly useful when one remediation program is being used across several buildings or regions. Completing the work quickly is valuable, but documented results and consistent execution make it easier to know whether the same standard is being maintained from one job to another.
For properties where limiting demolition is a priority, the authorized scope of treatment and post-treatment verification should be considered together. Addressing more than the visible source has little value unless the results can be measured and the process can be repeated consistently.
Independently owned Pure Maintenance affiliates use the VaPURE process to evaluate and, where appropriate, treat eligible areas beyond visible mold. The process is designed to address eligible areas beyond visible mold, subject to site conditions and each product’s EPA-registered labeling, combining a whole-building application with a protective surface treatment, with each product used strictly according to its EPA-registered labeling. Depending on site conditions and the required scope of work, some applications may be completed within several hours and may reduce the need for demolition, and independent lab testing provides a measurable check on posttreatment air quality. Owner training and continuing compliance education are also used to maintain consistency across the Pure Maintenance network. For properties where conventional remediation could mean extensive removal and rebuilding, the approach allows eligible areas beyond visible mold to be considered while potentially limiting disruption.
